The VHA Is Excited to Announce: Helicopter Day 2026!

This family-friendly event is proudly hosted at the Waltrip Williamsburg Executive Airport. This will be a great opportunity to get to see and touch real helicopters up close and learn more about helicopters' functions, abilities and operations in Virginia

For VHA's Helicopter Day, you can expect:

- Lots of Static display helicopters from various organizations, companies, and individuals

- Aviation education content for helicopter professionals, as well as the general public

- Kid-friendly activities including experiencing helicopters up close!

- The return of the 'Helicopter Olympics'! A fun challenge that tests pilot's skills and offers a fun viewing experience for        those on the ground. 

- Helicopter rides!

- A great event to fly-in!

- To have FUN and much more!

Since this event will involve lots of helicopter flying, we want great weather! Just in case, we've arranged October 10th as a 'rain date' should Oct 3 be poor weather.
